為響應業(yè)界要求，符合最新的國際船級社協(xié)會(huì )（iacs）統一要求、國際公約、國家法規。日本船級社持續修改鋼制船規則，以反映相關(guān)研發(fā)專(zhuān)案與損傷調查的最新結果。
其中，響應業(yè)界要求的修訂部分包括：
1、修訂螺旋槳軸和艉軸管檢驗相關(guān)規范（propeller shaft and stern tube shaft surveys）；
2、修訂艏舷緣外傾結構強度要求的應用（application of requirements for the structural strength of bow flare）；
3、修訂旋轉機械的過(guò)剩電流負載要求（excess current capability of rotating machines）。
響應最新國際公約的修訂部分包括：
1、修訂滾裝區域的固定式水基消防系統指南（guidelines for fixed water-based firefighting systemsused for ro-ro spaces）；
2、修訂船舶能源效率相關(guān)規范（energy efficiency for ships）。
響應國際船級社協(xié)會(huì )統一要求的修訂包括：
1、修訂移動(dòng)式海工裝置的遠程檢查技術(shù)規范（remote inspection techniques for surveys of mobile offshore units）；
2、修訂高強度鋼焊接材料（welding consumables for high tensile steels）；
3、修訂低壓燃氣發(fā)動(dòng)機的規格等相關(guān)規定（specifications of lowpressure gas fueled engines）。
